Microbeam DOE Project Awarded Involving Domestic Critical Mineral Production of Germanium and Gallium

Microbeam is proud to announce that we have been selected for an award by the Department of Energy to continue our efforts in the domestic production of critical minerals Germanium and Gallium. This award is part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding and is sponsored by the Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management. Germanium and Gallium are critical to the US's pursuit of clean energy technology due to their uses in semiconductors, solar panels, optics, LEDs, and many other applications. The DOE-Industry funded project is titled “Production of Critical Minerals and Materials Excluding Materials Containing Rare Earth Elements from Coal-Based Resources.”
Microbeam To Host Ash Behavior Workshop on Nov 7, 2024

Microbeam Technologies Incorporated (MTI) is excited to present a one-day overview training course on “Ash Behavior in Combustion and Gasification Systems”. Ash behavior impacts slagging, fouling, and other fireside issues.
The course targets engineering, technical and management personnel who are interested in obtaining a general overview, first insights and/or extending their knowledge on ash behavior in combustion and gasification systems.
Training will be conducted virtually via Microsoft Teams from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM CT with an hour break for lunch.

Microbeam Hosts DOE & FECM

Microbeam recently hosted the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management (FECM) team at our North Dakota office. During their visit, we had the opportunity to discuss Microbeam's work on the DOE-Industry funded project titled “Production of Germanium and Gallium Concentrates for Industrial Processes.”
